This is the wire we use to make our Hi Q Coils. SORRY OUT OF STOCK
This is 175/46 Litz Wire. This means that the wire is composed of 175 individually insulated strands of #46 wire.
Litz Wire is used to mitigate what is called "skin effect". This is because current wants to travel near the surface of the wire and as the frequency increases the effective resistance of the wire increases. In plain language the Litz wire provides more surface for the current to flow near.
The insulation melts back for soldering.
